The kit, includes a belt that can detect your dancing and how you are keeping the tempo with the music. For detecting, it uses a accelerometer and for communication with the computer it uses a couple of Xbee radio devices. According to the dancers rhythm, the tempo changes. The user needs to dance to a perfect beat in order to hear the music at the real pitch.
