Emergence is a mixed media sculpture that’s created by Sean Montgomery. I have collaborated with him and Diego Rioja for this project to create soundscape. This piece shown at Open House Gallery. The show sponsored by Indelible.tv and curated by Dimitri Falk.
Emergence is representing our connection to life. Our lives starts with the first heart beat, and ends with the last one. However, it is not something that we realize every moment. With this sculpture, we tried to visualize the heart beat and also give viewers feedback by using sounds and vibration.
Viewers really enjoyed this piece, and they also tried different ways to interact with it, like trying to get two peoples heart rate at the same time.
